Watching big mouth makreles. They move like a ballet surrounding me in their dance like to animate me to join them. Silver shimmering bodies. I could watch them for hours but they come and leave again.
wonders of the sea
Can people say I am addicted to snorkling? I think they are right Why I love it so much, it is not only the fascinating world under water, the corals and fish in all colors and sizes and forms especially in the moring sun. It also is that you feel s...ilence and all slows down like in another world. All hectic and noise is away. You slow donw your moving, to be able to watch, you swim you calm and you hold on to watch details and what is going on down there. Small tiny fish like jewels dancing around the corals. Bigger ones gliding by so calm as if time has no meaning any more. Fish in all size and form and colors, beautful ones but as well ones you can fear. But there is no fear to us, they do nothing when you do not touch. They slide into the coral labyrinth and come out of sight but others come out.
This year I got aqaintance with a baracuda size about one meter. He usually rested under a woodden platform a swarm of markrelas beneath him so his pantry was filled. But one time he crossed my way and he turned towards me and I begged please turn again and ... he did one meter in fornt of me. Not interested in me at all and when he turned I took the pictures. Usually baracudas do nothing they are only very curious like some other fish.
I watched an octopus changing form and color and than leave hiding in the corals arms.
I watched some blue pointed rays, during the day the hide in the sand of the sea but when they decide to come out they move so elegant.
I deteced some seanemones, one was not too deep so I could watch this flowerish animal and the small fish living in symbosis - I am sure all know them since the Disney Movie Nemo and I call them now Nemos.
Calamares meet my way, swam with me as well as the dancing silvery makrelas with the mouth so wide open and the small butterfly fishs and scalars.
The trigger fish are bigger and they protect their teritory a lot but I never got attacted because I respected them they give warnings in turning the belly uwards and showing the teeths.
I decteded some puffyfish, ugly looking and a beautiful lion fish so poisoness as beautiful.
But I missed the dolphins. A swarm of about 30, most small young ones. Some snorklers have been in the middle of them, but I was out of water since one hour and as quickly they appeared as quickly they left again. It must be a wonderful feeling to be with them.

The dream to fly
To be able to fly, this was and still is a human dream. Human watched birds when they fly high up into the blue sky and envied them. Even beetles and some insects are able to fly but not the human. Lots of energy and thoughts have been spent on inventions.
In Greece mythology the first inventor was Dädalus. He created huge wings out of feathers and fastened them with wax on bars. But this experience ended unhappy. Dädalus´s son Ikarus did not listen his father advice not fly too high because of the hot sun. He ignored his fathers words and flight high and higher and the wax melt and Ikarus crashed into the sea.
But I will talk today about the flying ship the Zeppelin. that great innovation to begin of 20th century. I want to write about what happened to this Zeppelin in 1908 next to a small village near Stuttgart.
Earl Ferdinand von Zeppelin created his 4th Zeppelin and the German army was very interested in it but demanded a demonstration. The zeppelin started in Friedrichshafen, Lake Constance and its destination was Mainz. There was a stop because of engine problems but all could be fixed. On its way back the engine again caused problems and it stopped again on the fields of a small town next to Stuttgart. During the night a thunderstorm ripped of the Zeppelin and it crashed into a fruit tree and started to burn and nothing only some framework was left. This should be the end of the area of the airships because Earl Zeppelin put all his money into the developing and the construction of this ship. But something wonderful happened. The people in the neighbourhood who are so satisfied by this huge flying ship started a collection and many joined and so the amount of more than 6 Million Mark came together. It was to this time a very impressing amount of money and this money allowed Earl Zeppelin to continue.
The area of the Zeppelin ended with the catastrophe of Lakehurst. But since quite a time there is a revival of these huge and silent aircrafts and you are able to buy a ticket to take a ride on such a flying ship. Since the sixties they exchanged the hydrogen in the balloon into helium, so there will be no danger of explosion anymore.

The Lapidarium in Stuttgart
There are special places even in a great city. Only few minutes away from Stuttgart city and busy life you will find a place you can relax. All noise and hectic are closed out you will find peace and silence.
In a historical park you will find an open air museum. The public Lapidarium shows a nice view about culture and architecture of Stuttgart. More than 200 sculptures and rests of destroyed or knocked down buildings of the city. Italien renaissance gardens have been the model to this unique place. The park was created by a Carl von Ostertag Siegle in 1905. 45 years later the municipal bought it and opened it to public. You can visit and enjoy this park without fee.
When you sit in the gallery on wooden benches the wall behind is full of old ancient fragments and you look into the park listen the fontains there with the fontain sculptures your eyes will circle from statues to the rest of doorbows ... placed like accidentally between old trees some still with mossy patina. Later you walk the ivy paths and step through the door bows like into mystic world to discover more and more sculptures and all is so silent. It is like the trees and the green swallow the complete noise and smog of the city.

inner peace
There are so many places around us we find inner peace.
Maybe only some steps next to a forrest trail and you will find a clearance or a small pond
Maybe only a door to open in a croweded loud city a door leading to a holy place a church, a graveyard. A graveyard is not place you have to fear, but you will find out that all the plants will swallow the noise or calm it down to a far away silent noise.

and you feel how you calm down and find your inner peace
we all need so much in our noisy busy world

the crows and other birds are going to pick the left grains
as well the hamsters and field mice and other animals collect them
to fill their storage for the long winter

Amazing sunset
No wonder human adored morning and evening dawn with goddess Aurora
When you see the red golden sun and the play of light
how the glittering and hot burning sun of the day changes now its dress into a warm tender light
It is amazing to see the bank of clouds raising at the horizon like mountains and how the sun go to sleep in the fluffy clouds like covering herself with a feather bed

Have you ever been at Plitvice lakes , Croatia?
To see these waterfalls, this amazing artist of nature was a dream of me which come true.
I will not write about the facts, the size and geography you will find details all over in the net.
I will write about my expressions and my feelings there and I choose some pictures I take there to share it with you. It was not easy to choose some out of so many photos I take so maybe I bore you because I add a lot.
I was so impressed when I see the first big waterfalls. The mist in the air, so fresh, so cool, the people they are on the tracks looking like ants in front of these big artist of nature.
The lakes are in an amazing green, like emerald. The water is so clear, you can see till the ground.
All is untouched. The fish in so many sizes and sorts are not afraid, if you would, you could touch them by hands. The water birds also are not shy, built the nests near to the paths. And when you walk through the forests a bit away from the big waterfalls you can listen the birds singing, so many voices and in the background the small sound of the water, bubbling so silent. When you have time to sit down you feel so relaxed.
Next to the big waterfalls you only hear the drumming noise of the falling water, so much power and all around there is a veil of mist, so cool and fresh.
All around there is water, coming out of the rocks, floating down in cascades into the clear lakes.
It is only a dream.
Emerald water invites you to swim, big powerful waterfalls roaring and also small soft waterfalls like showers. Fish you can touch by hands, ducks breeding. And all around so much peace.
